With such lovely light I thought it worth a chase from Lenton for 47749 & 47727 with 6Z57 Boston-Washwood Heath loaded steel, here they are for the second time on the evening of 03rd June 2010 passing Wetmore near Burton. |

When it was billed as possibly the last Colas steel to run ex Boston for a while, I made a note in the diary that I wanted this shot if the weather played ball, it turned out to be an evening with spanking light so here are 47749 & 47727 passing Lenton South Jn between Nottingham and Beeston with 6Z57 Boston-Washwood Heath loaded steel on the evening of 03rd June 2010. |

47618 arrives at Nottingham on the morning of 01/10/1993 with the last working of 5D95 0915 Derby Etches Park-Nottingham mail ECS. This train would sit in platform 1 at Nottingham until around 1800 before forming a parcels service to the South. This service was withdrawn at the end of the summer timetable. |

31601 exits Stanton tunnel on the Old Dalby test track on 18/05/10 whilst carrying out calibration testing on a new test vehicle, 31454 was at the rear of the train. I have wanted a good picture of a Serco train on the test track for years but up until this week weather/train/me have never all coincided. It helped that the train was based on the test track all week, rather than the few hours on a Monday 'every so often' how it usually operates. |

47580 brings a special ECS from Chaddesden to Derby station on 16/04/10 consisting of 4 Cargo-D mk11 coaches and an ex-works condition 66729 on the rear. The 66 had just been named it Litchurch Lane works and the train was about to work a luncheon special to Melton and back for the invited guests. |

6233 Duchess of Sutherland powers passed Stapleford just North of Toton on 10/04/10 making its first run since being repainted into LMS black livery. The train was the 1Z41 0632 Leicester-Scarborough which the steam loco took over at Derby. 57601 is on the rear providing ETS. |

Due to the sudden collapse of the parent company Jarvis, Fastline Freight was quickly decommissioned on 31/03/10, the next day 66434, itself only having recently joined the company fleet takes 66302/303 & 305 from Chaddesden to Crewe for storage seen here leaving Chaddesden yard. |

GBRF were quick to take back their assets once it was known that the Jarvis parent company was heading into administration. |
